Help Support Our Work

Your support and contributions will enable us to distribute seed, provide educational opportunities, and continue to improve our program.  We greatly appreciate donations, and if you would like to contribute to a specific program please let us know.  We also accept donations of physical items-if you have something you think might be helpful to our work, please let us know.  We are also open to taking on additional tracts of land for eco-stewardship-if you have land you would like to see cared for and are interested in donating, please contact us.

Welcome

4/7/20 Update:

In the past two weeks we distributed (for free) over 8000 packages of seed for free. We have also shared $600 in grocery gift cards with local low income households with young children, through partnership with Head Start due to the fundraiser below.  We are glad to be able to be of assistance to our community during this most unusual time.

Once we have achieved more stability after this pandemic, if you have the ability to make a donation to support our work by using the paypal button above, we would much appreciate it! We began this project about 15 years ago. Each year we grow, package, and distribute about 10,000 packages of seed, always offering it for free. We focus on low income households and often distribute to schools, food banks, community gardens. We do not have outside funding or grants, we do not sell seed, and we haven’t really attempted any fundraisers-all of the monetary costs and labor comes from our collective of volunteers. And honestly, we are low income ourselves.  We believe that food access and sovereignty is a human right, and we feel honored that we can be of assistance to our community, especially during this time of scarcity and hardship and fear.  We appreciate any help you are able to offer and will put that toward supplies to get seed to people!

We have depleted our store of seeds for the 2020 season.  We have already begun to plant in preparation for seed distribution next season!

Take care of each other.  Be well.  Happy Gardening!
